The celebrations are to mark the birth of the Sikh nation, to find out more about the festival's roots, read our Vaisakhi explained feature.
Vaisakhi is perhaps the happiest and holiest day of the year for Sikhs in the United Kingdom and around the world, and everyone is invited to join in the party from 10am-5pm on 1 May.

A free music stage show in the Upper Precinct is a focal point of the Vaisakhi event, which takes place in the Upper and Lower Precincts.
The stage show kicks off at 11am with traditional dhol drumming and bhangra dance from Nachda Sansaar, a well established group.
They've appeared at the Glastonbury Festival and are well-worth seeing.
‘Nachda Sansaar’ are followed by modern bhangra singer Manak E, who has featured in the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Asian top ten.
Then there will be traditional Coventry bhangra singer Shinda Sureela and bhangra group called Pardesi Music Machine, who have had hits since the 80s.
Find out more about the band with our Silinder Pardesi interview.
The rest of the artists appearing on stage are from the Asian record label Mob Inc who specialise in Punjabi English fusion acts.
They include Birmingham DJ and MC Basskrew, female vocalist Snit, rapper Demonic and singer Jazzwinder Jazz.
