 |  | The theme of red, white and blue was chosen for the jubilee year car run and vehicles of all ages, types and manufacturers were bedecked in bunting, flags and other patrotic items.
The annual car run takes place in roads around Coventry and Warwickshire. It is a massive celebration of the city's heritage as one of the country's leading car manufacturing centres.

Leading the way in this year's parade, which took place on Sunday, 1 September, was be the 'Shaguar' - Austin Powers' custom XK8 Jag, which is has a glorious Union Flag paint job.
Continuing the theme was be a Union Flag-painted Ford Ka, as well as the entrants dressing up the cars themselves.
Magnums of Champage were on offer to the best dressed car and occupants in the Coventry Evening Telegraph-sponsored event.

As well as the run itself, which will saw a "double loop" of cars -two parades travelling the same routes in different directions - there was a huge party at the Memorial Park.
The cavalcade of vehicles arrived back at the Memorial Park at 2pm in time for Picnics in the Park - an al fresco celebration of all things vehicular.
Many people brought their own champagne picnics which they enjoyed near to their specatacular vehicles.

As you'd expect at a Coventry motoring event, Jaguar had a huge presence. As well as the Shaguar, there was be a display by the company featuring a Jag Formula 1 car.
Coventry's other big manufacturer, Peugeot also has a display along with The Riley Owners Club, the Midlands Vehicle Preservation Society, the MG Owners Club, TVR Club and the Porsche Club.

Carl Chinn and Ed Doolan stars of 大象传媒 WM were alongside the legendary Wondermoose at the Car Run.
They judged a horn blowing contest and will be broadcasted live from the event.
