Thanks to council funding and The People's Network project, all the Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council libraries offer free internet access.
This means there are now more than 30 places across Coventry and Warwickshire that offer internet access completely free of charge.
Follow the link on the left to find out more about The People's Network, a Government project to connect all public libraries to the internet, to give everyone in the UK the opportunity to get online.
Most of the places that offer free internet access in our area are listed below, or check in your telephone directory for your local library.
Some libraries and colleges also offer free basic computer classes through the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) Coventry and Warwickshire.

Most of the free internet access in libraries is limited to one hour, although when machines are vacant you are allowed to stay longer. Internet access and email is free, but you are asked to pay for print outs.

People are advised to book as the machines can get busy, although Coventry Central Library also has a couple of drop-in machines reserved for people to simply use email. You do not need to be a library card holder to use the facilities either in Coventry or Warwickshire.

In Coventry, young people wishing to use free internet and email access must have parental consent. Under 16s must take a letter with them or must ask a guardian to fill out a library form. It is advised that under 12s are accompanied by an adult.
In Warwickshire, people under 16 must be registered at the library by their parents and they use an adult filtering system to ensure site suitability. Youngsters under 12 use a wall-guard system to ensure complete safety.
