Most people only associate Coventry with cars, cathedrals and historical people such as Lady Godiva, but Coventry is also becoming a great place to shop.
With high street stores like H&M, New Look, Bay Trading and Debenhams opening up all over Coventry's city centre, it is quickly becoming one of the best places to shop.
听Coventry's 180 degree turn

Although Coventry has always catered for those with a more traditional dress sense with places like Marks & Spencer's and BHS, it has often been hard to shop for more up-to-date fashions. But recently Coventry has done a full 180 degree turn.
Now all over the city centre places such as Topshop, New Look and Bay Trading have opened up, convincing more traditional places such as Marks and Spencer's and BHS to update their clothing to accommodate today's fashions.

With the help of five friends we picked out our five favourite places to shop. Below are my reviews of them.

Although Bay is easy to find, (the main store being next door to New Look and a smaller one being downstairs in Alders), it can be a little bit more expensive to shop in.
The sizes range from around an 8 to a 16 and they also have a newly opened section called Angel for children.

Debenhams is one of the country's most well known department stores. In Coventry the Debenhams is located in the heart of the city centre in West Orchards.
Inside there are sections of high street names such as Pineapple, Morgan and Trader Jeans to designer sections such as Spirit,John Rocha, Maine and Winsmoor.
The prices are about average, although you obviously pay a little more for the designer clothes. Each section has it's own size range and they cater for the old and the young.

MK1 is a relatively new store to Coventry. Although it again hosts a good range of clothes and has good prices it can be a little tricky to get to if you don't know your way around Coventry.
MK1's sizes start from around an 8 but this time go up to around a size 20 with its new chapter section. This shop also has a children's section, called Sophie girl.

New Look is a well-known store throughout the UK. It hosts the latest fashions and sells clothing from around a size 10 to a size 16, and also has a 915 section for children.
The shop is well set out and easy to find as it is located in a main shopping precinct. The prices are about average, although you could be paying a little more for some items.

Topshop again is a well-known store throughout the UK. It has sizes ranging from 6 to around a 14, with a petite section for those a bit smaller.
Although there is a good range of clothes, easy access and average prices this shop tends to cater for smaller people. The Topshop in Coventry also has a men's section downstairs, called Topman.
