The wonderfully attractive Paul Walker stars here as Lewis, in a film that was finished in 1999, but withheld until now for reasons best known only to Hollywood.
Formerly known as Joyride, this conventional teen horror film is notable only for its cautionary tale: truckers are damn scary people, and you should not play jokes on them. Especially with CB radios.
With some nice camera work, Roadkill thankfully avoids the supernatural half of Jeepers Creepers, but is nowhere near the knowing shock-a-thon that is Scream. A solid film, but not scary enough by half.

The story follows Lewis, an all-American college boy, who buys a car so he can pick up the girl of his dreams on his way home for summer break. Along the way he picks up his troublemaker older brother, Fuller (Zahn), who predictably, gets them into difficulty and danger.
Its Fuller's idea to get the CB radio installed in Lewis's beat up 70's car, and you can't blame him. Playing jokes on truckers surely is a better pastime than talking to your long lost brother, after all....

Unsurprisingly, the joke soon turns out to be on the boys, as a creepy trucker known as Rusty Nail (a scary name if ever I heard one - watch out for tetnus!) starts to know more about them than he really should.
Add in Venna (the irritating Sobieski - how fun it is to watch her sellotaped to a chair!) as the girlfriend, and you've got enough fun and frolicks to last the rest of the hour
