A Bug's Life
Story by Doug Heyes
Teleplay by Steven Rae
Directed by Rowan Woods

DID YOU NOTICE?

Crichton – or the virus! – has seen Ghostbusters. After he's infected, Crichton criticises Zhaan's plan to make an antidote by saying: "You might think your magic pill worked, and then Rygel’s up walking around the ship, coughing up spores, cats and dogs living together." The cats and dogs line is a reference to a Bill Murray adlib in Ghostbusters when the Mayor asks the team what they mean by a disaster of biblical proportions: "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!"

In the episode as broadcast, it takes a moment to realise that Aeryn has been stabbed: did someone take a knife to the scene?

If the Peacekeeper base is so close to their position, why didn't Larraq just contact it directly for help?

Why did Larraq contact Moya? While he needed a ship, he saw that Moya's Peacekeeper control collar was missing so how could he assume that it was a Peacekeeper ship?

How long did Crichton and co have to prepare before Larraq boarded? Given that they must have tried to find Aeryn a captain's outfit and D'Argo was hardly a willing contributor, their plan must have taken some considerable time to arrange.

When Crichton pretends to be a Peacekeeper captain, he puts on a British accent. Not a terribly good one, mind.

The secret Peacekeeper base is yet another charted place in the Uncharted Territories.

Larraq's colleague Thorn says that Crichton is "not as big a nerfer as I thought". Would a nerfer have anything to do with the nerf herders mentioned in 'The Empire Strikes Back' – which also inspired a rock band's name?

The final standoff with almost everyone pointing guns at everyone else is reminiscent of the ending to 'Pulp Fiction'.
