Thank God It's Friday, Again
By David Wilks
Directed by Rowan Woods

DID YOU NOTICE?
Crichton hides from D'Argo in plain sight in the opening sequence. That's startlingly Doctor Who-like, and especially so as his hiding place is very reminiscent of how Adric was supported in a web above the Master in Castrovalva.

The title takes longer to get than normal. It's a reference to how the labourers are told every night that the next day is a rest day - i.e. a Saturday - but it never is. Not that they seem to mind.

Crichton tells Aeryn that the two of them may have to leave without the others. A similar situation happens in the Blake's 7 episode 'Horizon' except there it's one person - Avon - left on the ship and more tension comes from how likely he is to abandon the others.

Tanga and her father go to great lengths to get to talk to Crichton, but then won't. He has to chase after them to find out what they want from him.

This episode continues Farscape's fascination with Rygel's bodily functions. Previously he has farted helium and now, with his body reacting violently to the local food, he urinates explosive fire. It's not explained how he's able to do this and survive, mind.

We're never directly told why D'Argo flies into his hyper-rage but we can infer that it's an inferiority complex - he hunts Crichton solely because he's male and he tells Zhaan that he dreams of agriculture as much as he does war.
