It's predicted they could increase by as much as 40% this winter as oil and wholesale gas prices continue to rise. Comments so farI now think twice before travelling out of my vicinity at weekends.听 I tend to stay put and shop locally which is great news for the local economy!听 I hate to admit it but it is also good news for the environment (albeit begrudged)!听 Having said all that, I definitely won't stop driving during the week due to school and work commitments but I can definitely see a change in my attitude to "weekend" outings. Unfortunately its getting to the stage now where I am contemplating looking for a lower paid job within cycling/walking distance. At the moment, its just feels like we are being continually squeezed. I know its not life or death, but I now regularly pay over 拢3 for a pint of lager! Good that it has stopped any chance of me drinking & driving, who could afford that!
