BoyzoneThis is the final date of their virtually sold out comeback tour and the only chance to see their spectacular, outdoor show in the region. A.M.A.N.D.AIn a tiny, isolated village called Crosby Garrett in the North of England where nothing much ever happened, a young girl continued to dream and believed she would one day be a star. And from a humble background near wind-swept Cumbrian hills to the glamour of Los Angeles to record her debut album, A.M.A.N.D.A.鈥檚 Cinderella story is unique. 鈥淚t really is a dream come true,鈥 says the singer-songwriter about her soaring career. Spending six months in America has produced a fantastic debut album, and honed the young singer鈥檚 vocal range, whilst keeping her feet on the ground too. Carlisle Live will be the moment where A.M.A.N.D.A. finds herself back home to perform with Boyzone and it will crown the young singer鈥檚 journey so far which really has only just begun. eScalaeScala are a musical group that have been together for two years after meeting on a tour bus travelling round the UK and Ireland. They were part of the string section of the orchestra and it was there that they became great friends and decided to form a band incorporating both their talent for playing classical music and their love of contemporary styles. eScala, who are Victoria, Izzy, Chantal and Tasya, were classically trained at the Guildhall School of Music, Royal Academy and Royal College of Music and have spent years of intense work honing their skills. Andrew Johnston on Britain's Got Talent Andrew JohnstonAndrew Johnston is the 13 year-old lad who stunned the nation on Britain鈥檚 Got Talent and not only reduced Amanda Holden to tears but had hard-to-please Simon Cowell applauding him. The Dumfries-born teenager last year went on to become head chorister at Carlisle Cathedral and this year became a household name through his TV appearances. HopeHope are the group who wowed the British public on the X-Factor and showed that girl power is back with their luscious vocals and cheeky prowess. Boyzone have asked Hope to support them during their outdoor concert shows this summer making Carlisle Live not to be missed as both groups are united for this spectacular event in Cumbria. last updated: 23/08/2008 at 14:22 SEE ALSOYou are in: Cumbria > Entertainment > Carlisle Live > Carlisle Live: Who's playing on Saturday Tony James talks to the stars The sights and scenes of Cumbria |
