The Big Question – Why can’t I get a job?

Through to March 2010, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ in the North East and Cumbria will be asking some of the big questions which affect our region. We'll be looking for answers too.

Through to March 2010, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ in the North East and Cumbria will be asking some of the Big Questions on issues that affect your life in our region.

We will closely examine them, with the view to provide answers to the questions raised.

First, we address the thorny issue of employment. With 118,000 people out of work in the region, what hope is there for real jobs?

People from all walks of life are now asking: "Why can't I get a job?"

We'll be trying to answer that question from Monday 19 October.

We've a whole week of coverage on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One's Look North programme, your local radio station and, of course, on-line with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Local websites.

We want to hear from you...
