Derby band The Raw have won through to a major American X-factor-style competition and will soon be jetting of to the United States. Following a qualifying performance at the Manchester Academy the group will now be one of ten in the Bodog Battle of the Bands finals - they'll be televised in America with the prize a $1 milliion recording contract. Three boys from Chellaston school and one from Trent College make up the band and they rehearse in a Shardlow garage. Natt Webb (17), Adam Slack (16) and Roan Brandt (17), along with Trent College student Chaz Pidcock (16), formed The Raw in 2004. They played a host of venues in Derby before signing up with more than 2,000 other European bands hoping to make it big in the competition.
Help playing audio/video The band will take part in a 10-week televised tour of the USA with nine other finalists.
