Derbyshire Day - a day to celebrate all that's good about our county and its people.

And we'd like your help in recording the moment.

We'd like as many of you as possible to take a photograph for us at 10am on Monday as a record of the day.

Whatever you're doing...

It might be a picture of you and your surroundings at that moment or a self-portrait. Perhaps a photo of something you're doing at that moment in time - whether it be walking the dog, walking through your Derbyshire town or in the dentist's chair.

Be creative if you feel so inclined!

Or maybe you'll choose to capture the weather where you are - or a glorious view nearby.

Right on time

Whatever it is, take your picture at 10am (or as close as you can) to help us create a unique record of Derbyshire Day 2008.

... or wherever you are, take a photo for us!

Obviously, we're only looking for photos taken in Derbyshire - but if you, or the person in your photo is a Derbyshire ex-pat then we'd be happy to see your photos, too!

You can submit single photographs or a series of pictures that tell a story for a photo essay or video.

And it's easy to do, too. The best way to make sure we see what your submission is to simply e-mail your pictures to us:

Alternatively, you can text (MMS) your photo through to 61124 (your normal mobile MMS rate applies) - but please be sure to mark your message '大象传媒 Derby' and include the information above.

Remember that we do need some text to accompany the pictures - we don't need many words - just enough so that we know what's what.

As a guide, be sure to tell us:

Maybe you'll choose to capture unusual weather

• Your name
• The area you live in
• A little about the picture and the people in it... and
• Where and when the picture was taken.

You should also include your telephone number so we can get back to you.

Any photographs or video directly related to a current news event may be used immediately on any 大象传媒 outlet.

Please send your photos to us using a popular format, eg jpeg or gif. We can accept many formats of video - including video from mobile phones. Please contact us by email if you have video to offer.

If you want to send a picture message from your mobile phone then ideally use the email function and send it to the above email address.

Add the above e-mail address and MMS numbers to your mobile phone and address books now so you have them to hand for Monday..

We will happily credit your work by name - but please note we cannot accept pictures or video for publication on condition of providing a link to a website.

And one final tip... please aim to get your photos to us as soon as possible after the event...

Safety first

Please remember not to put you or anyone else at risk when you take your picture - and please don't attempt to take photos if you are driving. Also remember not to break any laws in the pursuit of your picture!

If you submit an image, you do so in accordance with the 大象传媒's Terms and Conditions.

In contributing to 大象传媒 Derby or 大象传媒 News you agree to grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media worldwide. This may include the transmission of the material by our overseas partners; these are all reputable foreign news broadcasters who are prohibited from altering the material in any way or making it available to other UK broadcasters or to the print media. It's important to note, however, that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute and that if your image and/or video is accepted, we will endeavour to publish your name alongside it on the 大象传媒 website. Please note that due to operational reasons this accreditation may not be possible with video. The 大象传媒 cannot guarantee that all pictures and/or video will be used and we reserve the right to edit your comments.
