What's the name of your band/act and where do you come from?

We're Armarda and we come from Ripley.

What do you sound like?

An eclectic mix of original material influenced by rock and pop anthems from the last two decades, through to present day.

Who are your influences?

Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Radiohead, REM, Verve, Levellers, Oasis and Green Day.

Tell us about some of your best songs...

'Just Fly' - anthemic ballad which is always well received at gigs.

'Closure' - the bands latest number dealing with broken down relationships. A great number which ticks all the boxes, including a sing-along chorus with attitude!

Where can people watch you play live?

Saturday 7th March - The Chestnut Tree, Mansfield Rd, Sherwood, Nottingham.

Saturday 21st March - The Devonshire Arms, Buckland Hollow, Ripley, Derby.

Armarda have released a three track EP entitled 'Trilogy' which was recorded, engineered and produced by guitarist Dave Rickett.

'Just Fly' features on the CD and samples of the other tracks can be found on the bands web site www.armarda.co.uk or via www.myspace.com/armardalive.
