Hundreds of Year 11 students at John Port School in Etwall arrived in style for their traditional leaving day event. Limos, classic cars and even a tractor were employed to bring around 300 pupils to school for their final day before their GCSE exams. Five glamorous girls pose for photos The boys donned sharp suits and the girls put on their most glamorous outfits as they made their entrances in front of school friends, children from other years and spectating parents. Not everyone opted for a limo Some of the girls got up as early as 6.30am to get their hair done and make sure they looked their best for the event. The whole day cost some parents as much as 拢300 but headteacher Frank Briggs said that despite the recession, most people were keen to uphold the tradition. He said: "The students enjoy it, the parents are happy to support it so we think it's worthwhile carrying it on."
