Where are you from and what do you sound like?

We are a 5 piece post hardcore band called 'These Waves' and we are from Derby.

What do you sound like?

I think these quotes sum us up quite nicely!

鈥淪ounds like a box of glitter thats been knocked over. Melodic, jingly, mucho fun, but o so dirty. Total sex on a stage.鈥�

鈥淭widdly, fantastic rock action from five pretty, pretty boys that like to get naked for cameras. They are like At The Drive-In and Meet Me In St Louis and Mario Kart. Sounds like a perfect band to me.鈥�

Who are your influences?

We all have different tastes but we are all agreed on bands like At the Drive-In, Refused, Yourcodenameis:milo and Million Dead.

Tell us about some of your best songs...

"Bonnae Spei" (pronounced Bonnay spee) has become a favourite to alot of people, we were unsure about that song for a while, we didn't think it sat well in our live set but we decided to record it anyway and now we think it sounds great.

"Want owt" This is our pop song!! Two and a half minutes of cheese tastic rock!!

Where can people watch you play live?

Our next gig is at The Royal in Derby on May 27th, we normally play in Derby once a month.

We're going on tour in June playing in Sheffield, Wakefield, York, Leeds and more tbc.

We recorded our debut E.P 'Painting By Units' late last year in Wales. It was produced by Tom Woodhead, lead vocalist of Forward Russia. You can check out the E.P in its entirity on MySpace.
