This is where you get to help report events happening in Derbyshire.

We're always pleased to receive your pictures of major events and news stories in our area...

So perhaps you have some photos from, for example, the Derby 10k, Ashbourne Shrovetide Football, The Buxton Festival.

Be our eyes and ears...

And news can happen anywhere at any time. We want you to be our eyes.

We have received plenty of images from around Derbyshire and we'd like you to send us yours.

If an event is unfolding before your eyes and you capture it on a camera or mobile phone, either as a photograph or video, then please send it to us.

But remember, if you take a picture of any event you should not endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or infringe any laws.

You can submit video, single photographs or a series that tell a story for a photo essay.

Aim to take a variety of photographs

Remember that we do need some text to accompany the pictures - we don't need many words - and certainly no more than 40 per picture.

Any photographs or video directly related to a current news event may be used immediately on any 大象传媒 outlet.

And it's easy to do, too. Simply e-mail your pictures to us at: derby@bbc.co.uk and be sure to include:

• Your name
• The area you live in
• A little about the picture and the people in it... and
• Where and when the picture was taken. Your photos can be from any year - but please be sure to tell us which one.

Please send your photos to us using a popular format, eg jpeg or gif. We can accept many formats of video - including video from mobile phones. Please contact us by email if you have video to offer.

If you want to send a picture message from your mobile phone then ideally use the email function and send it to the above address.

Share your pictures of major Derbyshire events

We will happily credit your work by name - but please note we cannot accept pictures or video for publication on condition of providing a link to a website.

And one final tip... please aim to get your photos to us as soon as possible after the event... pictures sent to us six months down the line are less likely to be considered for publication.

Terms and conditions

If you submit an image, you do so in accordance with the 大象传媒's Terms and Conditions.

In contributing to 大象传媒 Derby or 大象传媒 News you agree to grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media worldwide. This may include the transmission of the material by our overseas partners; these are all reputable foreign news broadcasters who are prohibited from altering the material in any way or making it available to other UK broadcasters or to the print media. It's important to note, however, that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute and that if your image and/or video is accepted, we will endeavour to publish your name alongside it on the 大象传媒 website. Please note that due to operational reasons this accreditation will probably not be possible with video. The 大象传媒 cannot guarantee that all pictures and/or video will be used and we reserve the right to edit your comments.
