Have you ever experienced d茅j脿 vu? Have you thought听 that you might have walked this mortal coil before?
| My regression therapist Deborah Monshin |
Perhaps the answer lies in past-life regression? When my editor told me about a lady in the South Hams who runs regression therapy workshops, I was a little sceptical. I decided to investigate further听 for 大象传媒 Radio Devon's Saturday Breakfast Show. The specialist, Deborah Monshin was happy to meet and invited me to give it a go. There was nothing mystical or strange about Deborah and she put me at ease immediately. After a good chat about the processes involved, I lay down on the couch and Deborah used a series of hypnotic techniques to take me to a deeply relaxed state.
| I found myself running from a battlefield |
If I hadn't taken my tape recorder along, I don't think I could have believed what I came out with during that session! Click on the link on this page to hear the startling results for yourself. But beware, if you are easily upset, you may find some of the images I describe rather disturbing. It appears I was regressed twice. First I was taken back to the battlefield where I believed I made the biggest mistake of my young life as a soldier. The second couldn't have been more different. I found myself as an actor on the set of the 1939 Hollywood film The Wizard of Oz. Don't laugh... I was a Munchkin!!

You may be curious to know whether I actually believe in reincarnation after this strange experience. I wasn't able to come up with any solid evidence of my former existences but am struggling to explain how I could possibly feel so emotional about imaginary scenarios and people I've never met. Deborah told me that regression can be therapeutic as it asks us to learn lessons from past experiences to improve our current lives. Take a listen. You might not believe your own ears - but I'll leave you to make up your own mind... |
