This clip begins with helicopter footage showing snow covered houses, fields and roads. People are shown collecting emergency supplies and carrying them on sledges. Huge snow drifts are shown covering houses with families attempting to dig their way out. There is footage of distressed and frostbitten soldiers being rescued from Dartmoor and elderly ladies being airlifted from Exmoor. Food drops to stranded animals are also shown as the livestock is struggling in snow drifts.
