RaWYou are in: Devon > RaW > The write stuff Will Max and Lara's next story be yours? The write stuffA trip to Plymouth, a workshop with a professional and a short story, the three steps that could put your name into print. If you've ever seen yourself as an aspiring Jane Austen or a potential Terry Pratchett, now's your chance to have a story published in a nationally produced book. A previous workshop This year the 大象传媒 RaW campaign includes a short story writing competition where you can shape the lives of RaW heroes Max and Lara and their Amazing Travelling Space Circus. On Tuesday 22 January 2008 we're hoping to help give a number of Devon-based writers a literary leg-up. We're holding a story writing workshop to enable you to enter the competition with adult education teacher Michelle Treagust and local storyteller, David Doyle. We don't mind how good or bad your grammar, spelling or punctuation is, we're just interested in your imagination and enthusiasm. At the end of the session, you'll have a story about Max and Lara to enter into the competition. The national winners will be compiled into a published anthology of tales about the two adventurers. Your story could become a storytime favourite Places are limited but you can apply to join us by using the form on this page, all we need is a few details. We'll be sure to ply you with the most important tools of the writing trade, plenty of tea and coffee with biscuits, and a quick studio tour of 大象传媒 Broadcasting House in Plymouth. Remember, even if you're unlucky and don't get a place on our workshop, you can still enter your short story via the RaW website, simply use the links on the right of the page. last updated: 21/01/2008 at 15:54 Get in touch with the presenters or tell us about an event. |
