Exeter City are back at Wembley - and this time, they're hoping it will end in cheers, not tears.

They take on Cambridge United in the 2008 Blue Square Premier League play-off final on Sunday 18 May (4pm kick-off) - with an estimated backing of around 25,000 Grecians fans.

In the 2007 final, they lost 2-1 to Morecambe after taking the lead through Lee Phillips.

This season, City clinched a play-off place after a fantastic run of results late on.

They finished 4th, which set up a play-off semi-final clash with Devon rivals Torquay, who finished 3rd.

And the Grecians progressed to the final after coming from behind. They lost the first leg 2-1 at St James' Park, and then went 1-0 down in the Plainmoor leg. But four goals in an amazing last 20 minutes earned them a place in the final.

Their record against Cambridge this season is good. They drew 1-1 at home in September and won 1-0 at Cambridge in January.

However, Cambridge finished 2nd in the league, so will be tough opponents. They beat Burton Albion in the play-off semi-final

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale said it's great to be in the final again - but this time, they want to complete the job.

"It's hard not to celebrate and we love the feeling of a victory and going to a final," Tisdale told 大象传媒 Radio Devon.

"The ultimate achievement is winning in two weeks time and that's the only thing to focus on."

City were relegated out of the Football League at the end of the 2002-3 season. One more victory, and they'll be making a return.
