So
how did you come up with a name like Lostombres? Well I guess we were cajoled into it. We were playing
at the Silverton Festival in 2002 and it had a Spanish theme.
We
couldn't think of a suitable name and this was our first gig, so
we ended up with Lostombres. And
we were asked back this year!
What's the name of the track you've chosen
to demo?
It's called "A Couple of Guys" and it's based on a true
story that Roger read in a newspaper a few years back.

Lostombres
play an increasingly alt-country sound |
What
do you think of the local music scene?
The worst thing is that it's difficult to find venues to play -
unless you play blues, soul or covers from the 1960's.
Lostombres are fast approaching the future of rock 'n' roll with
an increasingly alternative/country (west!) feel - which makes things
difficult.
What
about gigs you have played - which was your favourite? I guess the favourite was the first one
- at Silverton Festival in 2002.
It
was on a huge stage and we had only been together a few months.
Scary Stuff!
Complete the sentence "If we were famous..." ....we would buy our own
venue and put on Lostombres and other good local bands - and we
could record them and make even more money.
