- the first gothic band to be featured by Devon Online - what's in a name?
"Myrkur" was thought of by Icelandic band member Dathi. It's
Icelandic for "Darkness" which is the whole essence of the band.
Who's
who in the band then?
Graham - he's getting married in January 2001, loves food!
Dathi - the Icelandic one... he loves beer and surprisingly hates the
cold!
And Lee who's obsessed
with all heavy music.

How
did you meet?
Dathi and Graham met while in the local rock band "Headlode"
and we found Lee after placing an advertisement in Applestone Music.

Dark Gothis Metal.
What's
the track you've chosen to demo - Malleus Malefocarum - all about?
Malleus Malefocarum, an infamous book in the 15th century spread hysteria
throughout Europe. It persecuted witches and sent nearly nine million
people to be hung, burned or tortured to death. The initial approval of
the book was forged and not discovered for another 412 years.
Can
you see a future for Myrkur?
A good record deal would be nice! Big venue concerts, many albums and
a full career in music would obviously follow....
Seriously
though how would you deal with fame?
We'd love to help kids get their bands off the ground - while enjoying
a typically rock 'n' roll lifestyle!
