The picturesque fishing village of Clovelly is built on a 400ft cliff on the North coast of Devon.  A port for many centuries, Appledore in north Devon is where the Rivers Taw and Torridge meet.  Over the centuries the River Torridge has played a big part in the development of Bideford.  Bideford Quay is the departure point for the Lundy Island passenger and supply ship 'MS Oldenburg'.
