The lost Freak Zone hour

    I see that Huey Morgan's patchy show has gained an extra hour. Is this the lost hour of the Freak Zone?

    It seems silly to have that extra hour in the middle of a different night. I caught the Freakier Zone after taking in the enjoyable programme from Tom Ravenscroft (lots of nice new stuff, some of which would fit the FZ - especially the Animal Collective mix that featured Slapp Happy and Warp acts like PVT and Autechre) and as much as I love Suicide, do you really want to take in Alan Vega's howling and Martin Rev's minimal maelstrom at that time of the night? A show opening with 'Rocket USA' on a Sunday evening on the other hand...so can normal Freak Zone business resume?

    Am very glad that 6 Music got a reprieve - I liked the 3 hours of Freak Zone followed by either Guy Garvey or the Listeners request show with ze Queens of Noise...

    Anyway, make 2 hours 3 hours and absorb the Freakier Zone into the Freak Zone...
