I enjoyed the Professor's unit on the above! I wonder if Alison Steadman, who portrayed Candice Marie in Mike Leigh's play 'Nuts In May', was a fan - I kept thinking of her singing 'I want to see the zoo, she said, I want to see the zoo!'

But you could also single out Vashti Bunyan and Judy Dyble (definitely so visually!)as prototypes for Candice Marie.

Re:the King's Singers' involvement - my sister's music teacher was Jeremy Jackman, a later member, who also sang the song on the end credits of the second Blackadder series!

I thought this week's Freak and Freakier Zones were just magnificent! I also very much enjoyed Bridget St John and Robin Trower sounded great - long time since I heard him. Bit concerned that I'm starting to like Rick Wakeman though! Then on the Zone, great to hear that first Weather Report LP (before Jaco funked them up) and the segue into The Fall just typifies what the FZ is so good at. Silver Apples, Alasdair Roberts, Plastikman and as always names that mean nothing (to me) but you want to check out: Burkhardt Kiegeland, machinefabriek and Riot Squad. Thanks Stu. Set me up for a weeks hols nicely!
