Not sure if the FZ has been home to any GBV (or Boston Spaceships or the many other projects of Robert Pollard). I've been playing this one lots and enjoyed the 33 1/3 book on this LP and the Hunting Accidents etc biography.

Plus the classic mid to late 90's GBV line-up is back, partly to celebrate Matador's anniversary. They're a fun band and I love their blend of lo-fi/Who Sell Out/early Genesis/Mission of Burma. I'm very fond of most of their stuff and even like their slightly more Buffalo Tom/Replacements-type material and would say that all GBV is good GBV...

The run of albums that included Propeller, Vampire on Titus, Bee Thousand, & Alien Lanes is particularly fine and suitably freaky...

Bee Thousand (or the expanded Director's Cut) are the ones. Robert Pollard was the singing teacher who had split the band when they casually reformed and suddenly found themselves celebrated...

From the original 20-track LP I'd pick the following three tracks:

    1. Hot Freaks
    2. Echos Myron
    3. Kicker of Elves
