  A day off work, so as not on the M60 driving to aforementioned employment and not listening to Five Live. Opted for my beloved Six Music. Great to have Gideon on the breakfast show, plays an eclectic mix of music,knowledgable and just seems a regular bloke.
  Ten out of ten. Simply personifies Six Music!!
  
  How dare the ´óÏó´«Ã½ sacrifice Six Music, it is a niche station for a niche market and has every right to exist.It caters for a broad niche, is that a contradiction only in some dull marketing / accounting world!! No other station on the radio, comes remotely close.Sacrificing Six Music? A laurel leaf to commercial enterprise?? What X.F.M ???? like comparing copper to platinum.
  
  Long may Six Music remain. Shame because I am huge fan of the ´óÏó´«Ã½.

  Thanks for the welcome, Yes, i guess as i get older "6 Music" may lose some significance but it is so important it exists.If for nothing else it attracts the up and coming tier of younger listeners that have the same passion for non internet based musical diversity.
  
  Anyway have encouraged my friends who are of the 6 music bretheren /sisterhood to e mail protests to srconsulation.co.uk
  
  PS gook luck with vinyl dilemna, my mates have either burnt copies onto cds and then passed on vinyls to other mates. I simply have mine in storage container trays scattered about the house.At some point i need to get a new turntable.
  Hope move goes well.Do not pack your partner by mistake.
