I think you'd be more likely to get sound advice If you could be a bit more specific regarding the motifs and "stuff". For instance: if you said that you were planning to purchase a hat emblazoned with marine life motifs, we could advise you not to wear it on a visit to the seaside because you could end up fighting off hungry Herring Gulls and Cormorants. Come to think of it, it's probably none too bright an idea to wear something of that ilk inland either because you could be inviting attacks from Herons and Kingfishers and, in some places, bears. There have been enough cautionary documentaries about bears on the TV recently for it to be fairly obvious that going anywhere near a bear is a bad idea unless you consider that a holiday in, say, Canada would be something of a disappointment without the risk of dismemberment. To enter bear territory with a picture of their favourite lunch stuck on your head would be an act of madness and would probably invalidate your life insurance policy.

And what about "stuff"? If that means that you may entertain the notion of festooning your headgear with extraneous materials, then I fear for both your mental health and personal safety - particularly as "stuff" is such a nebulous term that it could include items such as sushi, fish fingers, cod balls, crab sticks, winkles, welks, cockles etc., any combinition of which is much more likely to put you in serious danger than mere motifs.

I'd plump for the plain variety.

Hope I've been of some help.
