Saw on facebook Gideon had played a new track by Invisible System (The Couldron EP?). Just had a listen on iplayer, great track but who is the singer? Doesn't sound like Dennis Wint although the Ethiopian singer sounded like Zewditu as I have the album Street Clan.

Can't find the EP online anywhere so no idea what to expect from the rest of it but if the albums are anything to go by, your guess is as good as mine!

    Hi Gary,

It is Sydney Salmon, he did sing a little on one track on Street Clan with Dennis and Zewditu. He is Jamaican but relocated to Shashemene in Ethiopia with 3 generations of his family!

You can here one of two of the other EP tracks on my radio show, Mon 10pm and Thurs 11pm just check links on facebook but the others are post punk Ethiopian with Ozrics / Static Merv and me, acid pop with Dennis Wint and Courtney Love's drummer and more traditional Ethiopian fusion.

Not sure if Gid will play any others but keep your ears open as it is not out til Jan.

    Cheers
    Dan

A band/project well worth checking out that I first stumbled into in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I work between the US and there. I really look forward to hearing this new E.P.
