Nighttime discussion

  From the description of this board, I'm guessing that Gideon Coe is a nighttime show (I just checked, it rund from 9pm to Midnight*), so why shouldn't the board be open *for* nighttime missives? I think the risk that people might start using it more frequently is an acceptable one, and moderators are already on duty for the much more heavily used Archers boards.
  
  Otherwise, there's a very real possibility of some ´óÏó´«Ã½ manager arriving one day to post that these boards don't get a lot of use, cost a lot of money to manage and there are other mediums available on the internet, so Blondie, I wanna thank you for everything you've done...
  
  Seriously, much more popular boards have gone with less reasonable excuses.

  Posting a topic and answering it yourself? That's called "doing a tolhurst" (mainly by me) (lol tolhurst)
  
  You are missing one of Britain's best shows by not listening to Gid, though you can listen again if you can't hear him live and you are fed up of playlist pap (as turned out by some stations lol).

  This board is indeed open at the *same* time as the show, (you guess right, by the power of reading, that it is 9-midnight) though when you hear Ivor the Engine which Gid always plays at the end of the show, you know you are posting in the last chance saloon.
  
  We can reach Gid by text on 64046 when he is on, by electronic mail, and maybe even by Tweety-Pie or whatever that new thing is called. Gid plays an AWFUL lot of great music but always seems to have time for listener reaction as well!
  
  I agree that I love the message board format and far prefer it to either the Facebook format (where nasty, personal messages can be posted by random people) or the new Round Table format (where nice, innocuous messages are deleted before they are even posted). However, there is far less traffic now here than there was before the closure announcement.
  
  The solution?
  
  a) Everyone listens to Gid
  b) Everyone falls in love with the show
  c) Everyone posts here lots!
  
  (Long-serving regulars may hop straight to c) ).
  
  I REALLY want to revive the perennial Cycling Club thread now, but I feel I should leave it to someone else.
