I wasn't a listener when Clive Horrobin was banged up, but I understand it was for something pretty violent (an aggravated armed robbery?) for which he's done seven out of ten/twelve years inside.
The bit I don't understand...
Alistair was very nervous about the possibility of Clive H being back in Ambridge - checking all the locks, etc., as Alistair thought he'd seen him.
Did Clive's original crime involve Alistair & family?
He set fire to the stables. It was all horrific.
Actually, I still keep key to the front door within reach in the dark, as I was that traumatised by that eppie (Jill and Chris fumbling around, trying to find the key to get out).

he did not set fire to the stables. he attacked some of the horses.
he set fire to the Police House, and Jill and Christine were trapped in there.
Oh yes, sorry. I realised last night I'd confused the two events.

Did Clive realise George was dead? When he was rambling on about it being "all George's fault" and Susan interjected, did that come across or did she only manage to hint about it?
