How hold is Clive supposed to be? I'd guess middle aged so it's difficult to take the character seriously when he's played by an actor who speaks like a teenager with a voice to match.

Clive was 39 yesterday (Happy Birthday Clive!). About the same age as Alex Jones, who plays him.

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks that!

When I first heard him, having no idea how old he was, I thought he was in his early 20's cos he has such a young voice, and talked like he was that young. I was amazed when I read he was nearly 40!

How old is Alistair? Just heard him talking. Asked something, instead of saying yes, he says, ' I guess' and instead of 'no problem' he says 'no worries' He talks like a teenager as well!

Like all good communicators, Al was tailoring his rhetoric to his audience (Erin).

Expressions like "no worries", and other teenage speak, seem to be the stock response from some AEx characters - it was used ad nauseum in the first series when the majority of characters were teenagers. Speaking of which, does anyone in that age group actually listen to AEx? More to the point, would they want to?

Alastair is meant to be a bit younger than Shula I think so he is about 50. I am forty and I say no worries but that is because I went to Aus for my gap year and was in my teens when Neighbours started...
