So he's spending all his money on gifts for her that she won't want, still living in hope he's in with a chance.
There's only 2 episodes to go, she's supposed to be in Bristol til after Christmas, but that's probably just an excuse, so where is this going from here? As it is, it's just left hanging with no conclusion - or put another way - Dan had no idea of what he doesn't know - so there must be more to come to round it off.
Wonder what that'll be.

I suspect Shula will be getting some extra gifts and one of Dan's plainer classmates will ask him to the Ball; I think Dan's behaviour has rung some bells with a few middleaged men!

Sadly all too true...
Hopefully he will be older and wiser. Learning to spot users and avoid them and discovering the merits of less flashy girls would make this episode worthwhile for Dan.
