Kate agreeing (which she would have anyway) because she's got her mind on lower matters. Now, let's guess. Part 3.
AND they say we can find in TA how Roy and "Haylay" as Phebes now calls her, react. Well, thassorl well and good for us. What about people who can't/don't/won't AmEx. Plus there's a bunch of carp on the AmEx website about it being written by TA scripties. Wotta mess.
Fun tho! exxers
I thought it was rather amusing.
What/ why is a mess?

Mike, imvho, it's the crossover between TA and AmEx...caused a lot of confusion in here, no? So if what I read is true, confusion will continue/be exacerbated? TIA exxers

Exxers in the previous series the confusion/conflicts were limited (though real)
Those here who hate AmEx made much of them.

OI didn't you say something about people moaning - words to the effect of letting them get on with it? I heart all the carp in TA & in AmEx. End of. Is that best attitude, do you think? e

Thanks OI! e
There's been so much confusion about TA lately (who, why, when did that happen) that a little more probably won't make much difference. Many more posters seem to be saying that characters are difficult to recognise and/or differentiate, and plots are hard to follow or just don't make sense.

It''s not necessary to hear Pheebs being bullied by her best friend to follow the repercussions back in Ambridge. If there was no AmEx then there would just be the Ambridge side of the story with Roy and Hayley reporting that Pheebs wants to stay in SA a bit longer and how much that upsets them. That should satisfy the TA only listeners and if it doesn't then tough, that's their choice not to listen to AmEx.
We never heard why Jamies and Leonie split up but we know they did and I can't remember anyone asking to hear exactly what went on.

You've nutshelled the argument neatly Polly T. We've had two series of AmEx and I was hoping that the indignation of the AmEx-refusers would subside this time round.
Fat chance really because I forgot to factor in the high degree of negativity and pontificating that pervades so much of DTA at the best of times. I've a couple of hobby horses myself but try not to use them to insult the production team (joint or several) or scorn anyone with an opposing opinion.
Regarding the cross-over story argument, I think it's generally true that 'what you never had you never miss' and I'm fascinated to read the refusers' claims to have had their enjoyment (using that word advisedly) spoiled by . . . well, *something* . . . only they don't quite know what, and then steadfastly refusing to remedy the situation for various stiff-necked reasons.
