  I don't know how it used to pan out twenty years ago but I should imagine Kate won most battles with Jennifer. (just a guess!) Consequently I was hoping that Phoebe would succeed in dumping Kate because she had more exciting plans with Mandisa - only Kate won that particular battle - so that's bad. I wanted Kate to have a taste of how she treats other people. However, she WAS reduced to having to beg her daughter to go with her to the mall and bribe her with new jeans. Good.
  
  I'd say honours are about even.
  
  However, I can't wait for the major, major tantrum Phoebe is going to have when she throws Kate's 'secret' in her face as I'm sure she will!

  How will Pheobe react? Blackmail Kate? Tell Lucas? Beg Roy to change her flight back? Bottle it all up until she explodes, taking most of Jo'burg with her?

  Phoebe will be very conflicted -- isn't she already? -- but her mother's cheating will teach her how to cheat, probably. She's already learned how to lie ...

  Who Phoebe or Kate?
  I want Phoebe to stay in SA and Kate to return to Ambridge.
  No question.
  Give her back to Roy and Hayley.
  Hayley's been more of a mother to Phoebe than Kate has.
  Kate has spoilt her every time she's been to Ambridge or Phoebe's been to South Africa, even this year, bribing her with jeans to go to the mall indeed. It's rediculous!
  Kate acts like she's so cool, like Phoebe's best friend, not her mother. Look at how she reacted to Phoebe saying she wouldn't know the music she's in too? Kate acts like a spoilt, overgrown, selfish teenager.
  Not the role-model I want Phoebe to have.

  Where?
  Oh everyone does it once in a while, but what did I miss?
  I've heard the episodes, but I don't know where you mean.
  Anyway, I hope she comes home soon and that she destroys Kate.
  She's a useless mother and a spoilt selfish brat.
