The repercussions are just too huge
Michael knows so, so does his wife, Lucas Mum
    Lucas Knows
    Phoebe Knows

Kate has no where to turn

Hopefully this is where she will implode.
I hope that Phoebe holds here anger to her and gets home to her real Mum

This will be A JD Moment off simple dismay.... Bring it on...

Even / or especially Alice will recoil at her elder sibling, and hopefully be able to point to her chest with pride and point out her marriage is based on love and honesty Mother!

    I agree.

I think some of the AmEx refuseniks are cutting of their noses to spite their faces. What's not to like about knowing a bit more of the back story to TA? Especially when the 15 minutes are so packed with drama - no corny stories at all this time.

Yes as today has proved, I wonder if the quality is a reflection of the reduced production pressure, ie two episodes a week not 6, 16 weeks not 52... it must take its toll .
How they could maintain this level of suspense in Ambridge, makes me yearn for Brine / Shove days, the Emma triangle, the times with Roy and Kate,,, and of course Johans previous Dr Locke and the St Shug!

No I feel TA has been allowed to get to close to the edge
Mind you I have heard it said ... " If You aren't living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

Regarding crossover, I particularly like the way we've now heard both sides of the phone conversation between Kate and Hayley. I think they've got the relationship between the two programmes more sorted than in previous series, though it helps that the action is taking place so far from Ambridge.

That said though, the phone conversation was on Friday and as far as we know Hayley's heard nothing since then. She must be frantic by now!

    I am a convert.

I did not listen to series one and two (I couldn't bear the "stream-of-consciousness-internal-dialogue stuff) but I'm enjoying this series.

Much better at the moment than TA.

Yes, I'm sure this is the case. I went to talk by SW Mary Cutler many years ago and she made it clear how hard it is to produce the volume of material required in the time available for the main programme.

How they could maintain this level of suspense in Ambridge
The thing is they can't, for the reason you state. Also I don't think many listeners would want this level of suspense 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year! I know I wouldn't. We need change counting and the flower and produce show as well. However, for the smaller number of episodes of AmEx, it works very well.

Not only am I a convert Like Sixties_Relic; but I haven't listened to TA for a long time, and only keep up with it through ML.

I am really enjoying Amex, and am gripped by this unfolding drama. I also think the acting is well done, especially the young actress who plays Phoebe.

Oh, am also enjoying the comments here too!

    Roll on next Tuesday.....

No if I wanted a thrilling story set in ZA I'd tune in. I'm here looking for synopses TA is incomprehensible without. I agree that TA is poor though.
