I really feel for the man of cloth. Wife putting her foot down (on his throat[?]) and cleric friend taking advantage. Daughter really unsympathetic to add to his heavy load as well. I thought Usha's pronouncement that she would not move to the cathedral without giving a thought as to Alan's wishes was so so in character wasn't it? At least Alan was lucky to get his bike back so quickly, and recovered from injuries in super fast timer! Divine intervention perhaps! Not sure Sadie would have let a stranger (even with dog collar) into her home and would be sure she would have been on the mobile to her supporter soon after Alan's visitation!

Don't think you've posted this in the right place.
To the left below "discuss the Archers" is "Ambridge Extra" - It should go there.
An awful lot of people on this board detest Extra and don't wish to know anything at all about it.
I see that you are new so welcome!

Where do you get the info that Alan is fat? If you look at his actors picture he isn't over weight. Then again if you read my post "the camera never lies[?]" the actor might not have characteristics which are anything like the role he is playing. On the subject about "Alan",do you-like me- miss Rev Janet? What a saint, so uplifting, her morals were to be envied. Will she come back, perhaps as bishop!

Couldn't care less about the fat vicar. Long may he rot in the amex ghetto. Seconded, he is one of the least likeable characters along with that wretched daughter of his, if they both stay in the AmEx dustbin then there will be some positive point to having a second TA programme!
