Everyone,
Please! I do know what to do... I don't mind where we chat and message each other but I just need to have you all back! I feel so lonely and distant, like the rock that I have been holding onto for so long has just crumbled. I don't want everyone to argue and be unhappy - the most important thing is staying in touch and being a community of friends! Isn't that what we all want?
VBW,
TW
Hello, TW.
I'm here and so are loads of posters!
Come in and have a drink, you're a newbie again!
Cheers!!

Hello TW.
Most of us are still here and soldiering* on. Never fear.
I'm just having a piece of sticky ginger cake and an Earl Grey tea. Join me? Or something else that takes yer fancy?
*originally typed this as soldering on, but then realised I don't have a soldering kit
Hi TW! I am afraid things are still a bit all over the place at the moment.
If you're looking for a chat, try some of the threads with non-Board related titles on here. I guess you're more likely to pick up someone who's actually around at the moment on one of the threads towards the top of the list.
Former TB posters are a bit light on the ground anywhere as they now seem to be dispersed to different boards, so you could also look on the old TB board, or follow the links from there that Peet and Den have posted to their own boards.
I'm off out now, so good luck! MT

The solder with lead in it is getting hard to obtain now, because the safety people don't want people exposed to lead fumes. Lead-free solder is available, but it is not always what you need because it melts at higher temperatures and therefore it's possible to either damage components or make dry joints. What a nuisance it has become.

Whoa ! Far toooo much health and safety for a Saturday. I get plenty of that Monday to Friday thanks.
I'll just sit here quietly in the risk-free corner with my cake and cuppa tea.

I'm very well thank you. Went to Farmers' Market this morning with some friends and bought 1kg mixed mushrooms for £2 which I have made into soup. Even if I say so myself, it's delicious. OH and I had some for lunch and the rest is destined for the freezer.
How are you? Keeping out of mischief?
I ought to get out more, I suppose
There were macaroons earlier. And those little almond ones.
Hi STG,
I'm OK thanks and I too went to the farmer's market this morning and bought 4 Bramley's for a pound!
Mischief? Me?
VBW,
TW
Hi TW, I'm still hanging around, but I'm afraid I'm not yet that inspired to do much posting! Just been making spooky heads for halloween, and a rather large troll-wife. Hope that doesn't encourage any trolls to come round the boards!
How's the writing?
Josey
Here if you need me TW, same name.

TW,
I'm still here and here I intend to stay because ( and I'm whispering now so as not to be overheard ) I don't mind DNA too much.
Just stay away from the DNA related threads and you won't see any more spats than in old ML. Don't take the cross words too much to heart anyway as they are borne of frustration rather than people falling out with each other.
Want some good news - I've just been texting Sheena in Cambridge and they are all having an ace time.
Here's a hug to cheer you up and I don't give them away lightly - in fact I think it's my first ever.{{{hug}}}

TW, do not fear your friends are here!
VBW TW yrs GR xx
Now then, TW, less of that crying in the void, thank you.
I've been one of the bitterest and sour complainants about these new boards and even disappeared for good (twice!) and yet here I am.
It's not Mustardland as we know it but it's slowly inching its way to becoming the place that will do as a substitute, so keep trying. The more you fiddle with it, the easier it becomes.A lesson for life there too, I think.
If you really are fed up with it all, you'll still find people in the dear old place keeping the faith.
Quite a few of us have been at the Cambridge meet today - so perhaps that is why you have been a bit lonely.
But there are loads of us about - and it is good to make contact again.
Will be away again until Tuesday - but eager to chat again after that.
Take care
Prue
SeaN ( I keep wanting to call you Sean as in Sean South*) this describes exactly what i think at the moment. I do hope we all get used to it and soon get past the denial, anger etc stages of not accepting change
Thanks

O, SeaN, what a great speech, you've made me go all weak at the knees with that manful tone of yours!
Yrs, swooningly,

I'm nowhere near as political as that, Half Moon, and it's not my fight anyway. My kinds of Celtic heroes have prosthetic arms made of silver, magic cauldrons and the like
I'm still here too, TW. It's just that RL got in the way a bit this week and I've not been around as much. Would hate anyone to think that I was keeping away from the boards. I'm off out now - friend's birthday supper - but life should get a bit calmer next week so be warned - I'll be back !.

SeaN, very well put!
And TW has an excellent point too - he doesn't miss the old messageboard software, he misses the people. Keep the faith TW, hopefully if you post it, they will come. Yrs, the Shoeless Terrier.
TW, it is indeed harder to find people here, but it's not impossible, and as SeaN and MT say, people *are* still here and ready to chat! So cheer up!
