I am referring to the popular television programme 'Strictly Come Dancing' M'lud. I am suggesting that the British public is failing to vote off the charming but useless Ms Phillips, in much the same way that they failed the vote off the whingeing but compelling Ms Appleton (who did Bush Tucker trials rather than the rumba as she was in a jungle in a different programme). Dx

Ah, clear as mud, thank you. I did watch some of Strictly Dance Fever if that helps in my defence at all. Probably not I imagine.

Isn't Brendan compellingly awful, though? Worth keeping in for him.

I'm still of the opinion that the men and women should have different competitions, as it is much harder for the men. Still, they're doing well this series.

I just find Brendan awful and not compelling. He comes across as a bully rather than an exacting perfectionist, if you know what I mean. There would be some value I think in keeping the men and women celebrities competing separately until a semi final when you could have two male celebs and two females.

I think Colin Jackson is looking really good, and I think James Wotname may improve quite considerably. Bill Turnbull (of whom I had never heard) and his partner are excellent as well.

I had to go out boogying myself last night and thought it would be either Gloria or Fiona that would be up for the boot. The one I would keep for entertainment value rather than ability is Dennis Taylor ... he just looks such a poppet, and as Craid R-H said last week, surprisingly funky and groovy.

I love this programme, despite Brucie and Girlie giving me the pip. Dx

Well, yes. He also thinks he is the sexiest man that ever landed on the planet.

And he's not. That Natasha person would have gone right down in my estimation by having an affair with him, but as I had no idea who she was before Strictly, I had no scale to jusge from.

Lord - did that Natasha person do that? Ewergh. I thought he was utterly beastly to Sarah thingy last year - he made her cry, didn't he? You don't see Anton doing that to his partners, do you? He's jolly polite.

Brendan Cole is about as sexy as slug pellet. Dx

Is Brendan Cole a pro or what? Haven't watched this series. I had my convalescent mother to stay on Saturdays last year so we put it on for her.

Bill Turnbull is a ´óÏó´«Ã½ Breakfast News presenter, might be on ´óÏó´«Ã½ 24 as well. And recently they let him out and he was in New Orleans during the hurricane.

Brendan Cole is a pro, and Fiona Phillips is, according to my daughter, on Breakfast ITV. She seems a sweetie but dances as like a 3 year old whose been in the dressing up box. Didn't see the first two series but have watched the first two programmes this time round.
I feel the judges could be slightly less spiteful and personal in their adjudications - would like to see dear Darren Gough giving his opinion of their fast bowling.
What has really embarrassed me, though, is Bruce F. His comments are so studied and lacking in wit or spontaniousness. Very sad, I think, when people go on past their sell-by date. It means you're inclined to remember this and forget how good they used to be.

Think the presenting skills are of the same order, Dusty. Have caught her a couple of times when looking for a weather forecast in the mornings (radio broken), and been mesmerised at her galumphing presence - and that's while sitting still on a sofa! Bet she has her fans though - she's not fake or arch or pompous, which is quite refreshing. petal.

But he's still a pretty nifty dancer, considering his age!

Yes, she is a pretty rubbish presenter, I agree.

Missed the vote last night - who was voted off then?

I think Colin Jackson is great, and agree with his partner that it's about time a male celebrity won. Bill Turnbull also good, but "studmuffin"? I think not!

But actually I think Zoe Ball is wonderful and may well win - did you see it last week when her dad Johnny was in the audience, wiping away a tear?

Jaye Somebody and the man with the funky hair.

I think the egginess of Brucie and Girlie is not helped by the 'live' requirements of having to cover for time needed for couples to get on and off the floor and for the judges to shuffle around their bits of paper (which I noticed big time last night).

I love the bitchy judging. I'd offer to have Craig Revel-Wotname's babies if I were younger, and possibly if he were more of a boy for that sort of thing than I think he is.

I did see Johnny having a sniff, he was rightly proud of Zoe. Dx <>
