Did anyone know he plays Mr Growbag in the new W and G film? He's brilliant! Even my son who hates the Archers with a vengeance recognised him!

Anyone seen the film by the way - it is so good!

Saw it for the second time yesterday - this time in German with my god-daughter. Even brilliant in German - and the joke with Wallace and Lady Tottington on the phone even came across in German - with a slight variation.

AND... Edward? Edmund? Kelsey who plays Joe Grundy was called Herr Buchsbaum (Mr Boxtree) and even sounded like Joe in German.

I've ordered a Gromit in Anti-Pesto gear plus two shaking bunnies - one for my friend who saw it with me in English last weekend.

The best thing is... the second time, I saw more jokes than the first time round.

I never realised that you could see the outline of poor Gromit on the roof of the van when the Big Female Bunny was ripped off the roof when going under the bridge. Such small details - so well thought out. Brilliant.

And Peter Sallis played Samuel Paxton in Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970) starring Christopher Lee which also included a young Martin Jarvis and a young Isla Blair. So it isn't Peter Sallis's first Horror Film, in fact Peter Sallis's character is impaled through the heart (having finally come to the conclusion he has to despatch his daughter but suddenly her eyes open) with a stake by Lucy Paxton (who is played by Isla Blair and is a vampire at this stage and Alice Hargood played by Linda Hayden who isn't and is later rescued by who is under Dracula's influence (no need for me to say who plays him); Christopher Lee as Dracula looks on.

In fact Peter Sallis seems to have appeared in a few of the Hammer Films, just mainly presumably the ones I'm not so keen on, Taste the Blood of Dracula is one of my favourites.

It also had Geoffrey Keen (who played M in some of the Bond films), John Carson, Ralph Bates, Roy Kinnear and Hammer Stalwart Michael Ripper in.

And he played Baron Silas in Dangermouse (I used to watch that, obviously he is a man of many voices):
