I have just read jane townie's thread (when will you come over to hootoo to fill us in, jt?) and I thought giving my new identity would make a nice change for her.
I am now martine_, instead of martine_s
www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/U2324011
Do come and sign in, I need reading matter.
I have had to reregister because the impossibility of posting journal entries was beginning to affect my health. A nice young man (?) from R3 took some time off work to confuse me even more.
I see noone has picked up Alex's proposed argument (génial) .
So stairs or lift?
This is the equivalent of Single Dutch to me, martine. Is it like the equivalent of the AA?
I am trying to communicate my details, Rosie, wailing in the wilderness...
H2g2 is addictive too but they decided they had had enough of me and so I am trying to get in touch with people here.
I have done my best to bury or drown my previous identity and I regret not having cut-and-pasted the non-advice I was given... . I am saying this in sorrow, not anger.
Oh you mean stairs or lift? Search me.

Literaaly zooming through, so can't stay long.
Do you mean you have to start all over again from scratch, martine? Click on my posting name to get to the muster thread, then I can put you back on the Friends' List etc., so people can find you again. I've bumped it back to the top of the mayo there. Will have to do it later though, am off out to a music lesson soon.
Hugs,
Katy Tulip

Oh that would be good Katy - I was just trying to find martine_ in hootoo, to add her to my friends, but not having any luck!
Thanks dere
Hoo too? Friends list?
Are these purely for the initiated, or could someone enlighten me please? Why should Martine not have been allowed in to this place?
Martine
Followed the URL, tried to link with your H2g2 site. Couldn't find the Add to friends button/link/whatever.
Sorry, shall try again

You'll find me in the dagesh journal entries or sue-green's.

Hootoo= h2g2 (hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy). A very useful DNA cluster (I'm out of my depth here)where you can have a daily journal and read about others' doings. Katy's Muster link will get you there.
There used to be a direct link on this page.
I''ve just looked at h2etc and though not sure I've added an entry. This is me
the moon
p.s. I used to be moonstruck
Think I've done it!

Hi martine!
I've added your new ID onto the list, what do you want to do with the old one?
Do you want me to leave it on the list so your older entries are saved on the mayo, or would you prefer me to take it off to avoid confusion? You could also change your introduction there, asking people to go to your newer space. If you like, you can also delete your entire earlier Space yourself, I've just discovered, by going to the Hootoo 'Retrieve my details'; there's a 'Delete my entire Membership' button right at the bottom of that page.
Hth,
Katy Tulip

Hi moon, I've added you to the main list so members there can find you, and you can visit people over there and chat to them.
You can add them to your Friends' List with the link on the right of their Space if you do, but beware: any /Journals/ they write (not ordinary threads from on here or in their own spaces) will also show up on your TA Discussions Page, even if you haven't participated in them.
If you've changed your mind and want to come off the list, just leave a message in the Subscription thread (there's a link in the Mustering Station Introduction).
Katy
Sorry this is all new to me but I dont really get blogs. Is it the same as a messageboard but the person whose blog it is has the control?

Not really careen. There's no word limit on Hootoo Journals, but apart from that I think they're subject to the same rules as ordinary threads, and you can't for instance stop people from replying to them or anything, or delete their posts in response to yours - if people are being offensive, you have to complain to a mod like you do here, except it's a little circle instead of a triangle with an exclamation mark.
Katy
Thanks Katy but I still dont get it. Are you supposed to put something on everyday even if its only got up brushed teeth went to bed or wait for the exciting days even if they dont happen very often.

Whatever floats your boat, careen...
It's like keeping a diary, but in cyber space.

Gosh Martine - don't tell me you've already used up all the storage space in your old hootoo cell! Will bookmark your new address asap in the hope that the next installment of the French correspondance course will clatter through my letterbox very soon. Is it possible to transfer the whole archive? vbw petal.

Morning petal. There has been a right b*lls-up (if that is what I mean). Hootoo wouldn't recognise me as me and since I had registered on the R3 MB as we were advised to do to see our fate (least said...), it considered that it was my default address (whatever) and as they have no journal facility, blah blah blah. I haven't liked being told in many opaque words I was stupid.
I saved the archive and will write a Guide Entry when I have the time and inclination.
See you petal.

Martine,is it ok to admit I thought for a second you were giving us the 36-34-36 details?
Not that I'm implying you are the above and now that I come to write those measurements,I've just remembered that all the women who entered Miss World, which fascinated/horrified me as a child, were identikit sizes. How did that happen?
And they did all say, didn't they, that their ambitions were to travel and work with children?
Basia,really shouldn't be here,but I'm rewarding myself with a quickie.
BTW Martine, thought your page was fascinating. It's all new to me...

I would satisfy the first two requirements, though perhaps not the third (well not at all times).
You should try hootoo Basia. It's perfect for eccentric time-zones. And select...

Errr I mean c'est vachement ...
Hi petal. I am sorely tempted to test the limits of the mods' patience or that of other MBers and post in the vernacular. I have read somewhere that Shakespeare got modded? Ça, c'est vraiment le pompon! (= That is the last straw)

Umm Basia this is very rude of me, but this just caught my nit-picker's eye. Suspect Martine's taille is a little curvier. Even for me these measurements would look a tad out of proportion! pj

Well I've checked, it's 36-32-40. Curvy is the word.

Well I've checked and measured. It's 36-32-40 (shame). The spirit of Mustardland lives.

Ohh pardon mille fois Martine! I meant that I thought the waist measurement was little on the large side - as indeed it was. It will be even smaller in the morning.

Well, that comes from trying to "edit" the original message as suggested by the helpful 'how to reply to messages' button.
Only wanted to highlight one sentence in Martine's post. Am not intelligent enough, obviously.
My words of wisdom, indeed, my plea for help, lost in the ether. Fate, I suppose.
Don't like these boards.
(Hallo, Martine, btw. My anger is not addressed in your direction in any way.)
No fiddling with my measurements I beg you Jazzy.
