Loot, morning btw and I trust you and teh delightful Mrs Loot are well, to my mind there are two 'why's. First is of course why would anyone want to knit a digestive system and the second, and slightly more perplexing is why you googled it in the first place?

This is wonderful. I actually snorked aloud! Just as well I'm at home today, as I share an office with my boss who can be a bit po-faced at times.
Another why. Why would anyone think of knitting a digestive system? And then post it on the internet?
Loot, were you googlewacking?

This is cruel. You show me something as wonderfully silly as this & THERE IS NO PATTERN so I can't knit it.
Waaah!
What yarn do you think was used. Acrylic? You can get some vivid colours in cheap yarn.

You are wonderful, andrew. I followed the link & saw the pattern & then I followed another link for a knit-a-long & there were detailed pictures on how to knit the anus.
Why knit a digestive system? Why not? Every now and again it's nice to knit something silly. Clowns, fright wigs (there's an Elvis wig pattern on the internet somewhere), half-eaten chocolate cake. Just a bit of fun.

Depends what kind of wool you used to knit the PDP, Loot. Try washing on a gentle, low-spin cycle and it should come out just fine...

Okay, just looked and it isn't as horrible as I expected. But, to cross-thread on the subject of school needlework classes, how long did it take??????
I still haven't got beyond the letter 'D' on the cross-stitch sampler I was given aged 7 and by the time I finished knitting some baby booties for a young friend, he had grown up and was on the point of marriage.
The small intestines were a very fetching pink, though - that is now going to be the colour of my pink pith helmet.

Wow! That's a fantastic digestive system. I should think it would be VERY useful in classrooms. It's more flexible than plastic and I should think children would get a good overall idea of the position and length of everything.
Amazing. I like it.

Mags I read this as "green and black" and assumed it was either Loot's team colours, since he arrived all unsuspecting as 'Lutonfanindiver', or a reference to the chocolate bar and Loot's innate qualities. [Err that would be chocolate = good; more chocolate = better ] Will polish specs.

Sorry PJ. I thought that you thought I meant Loot was full of green bile (are you keeping up at the back?).
If Loot is Green and Black's and Mrs Loot is Divine, they make a great fair-trade pair!
I have no idea what Luton's colours are but they did get beat 4-0 this week so we should be nice to Loot.

You are perfectly correct CdM, but it's all in the phrasing - you *could* still work in the change of colour idea without spoiling the umm syncopation and the addition of 'shade' has the effect of reinforcing the long vowels (sic) before the abrupt new endings stuffed with palatal consonants instead of the gentle labial 'mm' initiating major and minor. Well - in my head anyway.

Option 1: It's really my website and I've been waiting for a chance to casually mention it.
Option 2: I spend all day at work looking for silly websites by putting random words into go ogle.
Option 3: Someone told me about it.

Ah well Loot, now let me see:
1. My o/h can knit, so knitting not a female preserve, but will discount this option!
2. We all have to do a little work, sometimes - well at the moment I have none to do - was manic here a couple of weeks ago and now zilch! Today I will have probably replied to one work e-mail! What a waste of time - just think what I could be doing at home!
3. The question is how did they find it - someone somewhere must have found it!!

Wah! An Owl!
Today's going much better than Tuesday night did, (Four!! And Dover lost 4-0 to Hastings as well.) and the day has just been brightened immeasurably by watching a seagull trying to land on a lampost and getting blown off by the wind.
Such simple pleasures.

If it turns out (probably not the best way of putting it) well, would you take orders?
