Watched 1st series of "Jeeves and Wooster" on VHS last night. Both Mary Wimbush and Jack May playing parts, and a joy to watch, coupled with a twinge of sadness that they have both gone now. Such distinctive voices and delivery. Why do so many current actors mumble and deliver their lines unintelligibly?
I live by the Woodehouse rule - when all else fails and your backs against the wall resort to Stout Denial.
No matter how damming the evidence appears to be it is amazing how often this policy succeeds.
