Tonights Google Doodle reminded me to check tonights Lunar Eclipse
I see today's Google relates to Father's Day.
I would not mind but Father's Day is a commercial invention to sell more greetings cards, useless presents etc

I'm always faintly startled by mentions of the 144th anniversary of someone's birth being phrased as "her 144th birthday" - I mean, that's one seriously elderly woman!
Easier on the eyes than the barrel roll, just type 'tilt' into google.
Or put the whole thing into a far simpler language

Beau thai,
I'm not sure when the first backslang was written down, but I'll guarantee it was long before Unwin was born! He was particularly good at it, though...

Could someone please explain to me what this one is all about.
Thanks
If read this while there's still time, visit Google again; there should be a question mark within the artwork, towards the upper right - click on that and another bit of similar style artwork should open up with an explanation that I couldn't quite read this morning (because it was an unfamiliar and, to me, foreign, name in a hard-to-read hand), and cannot read now (because I'm browsing via a mobile phone). Early 20th century author illustrator, East-European-sounding name.

So did I, vints, and was still working my way through a series of process-of-elimination sequential button-pushes when it suddenly went on to the next one.
Got the splatted little figure on the flying, er, things entirely by fluke as there seemed no real relationship between aim and impact...
I loved it, but have no idea what it represented as I've no idea who Lem was or what he wrote about...
but it was fun!
