Thought I'd start a new thread to save the confusion when the old one gets zapped!
There's going to be fun on Valentine's Day. Peter and Leanne are due to renew their wedding vows, but Peter has found out that Leanne has been buffing Nick while he, Peter, has been in his wheelchair. So instead of the wedding vows, he calls he a filthy whore and tells her to Foxtrot Oscar!

Oh dear, Roy, what HAVE you done?
There's something quite irresistible about a "hidden" thread, isn't there?
Worrappened?
Fluff

Posted a spoiler that I read in the News of the World, wherein Peter Barlow gives Leanne the boot at their wedding service and calls her a name for a lady of the night that rhymes with "poor". Can't believe it got modded!

It may not stay hidden. The message up there at the moment is the one that appears while it's awaiting a mod's decision. (Which admittedly, on a Sunday, means that it will stay hidden for some time, effectively killing the thread since, if it is reinstated the thread will have moved so far down the mayo that no-one will see it.)
Serves you right for opening a new spoilers thread before the other one was shut (sticking out tongue smiley)

Who's Peter Barlow? Is he related to ken and Deirdre?
, in reply to message 7.
Posted by The Famous But Disillusioned with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Eccles (U219998) on Sunday, 9th January 2011
Yes, Christina - he's Ken's son. Not sure if Dreary was his mother - it gets very complicated up t'North!
Roy ; )
He's Ken and Valerie ( played by Anne Reid of Dinner Ladies and recently the cook in the new Upstairs Downstairs) Barlows son, brother of Susan. They both disapearead when Valerie was killed off by a hairdryer but Susan's son appeared in the form of Adam a year or so ago, his father was Mike Baldwin

Ah, a long lost son then. Thanks, Roy, I haven't seen Coronation St for years. It's nice to keep up, without actually watching it, from time to time. I watched 'The Road to Coronation St' recently, very interesting, and nice that William Roache was played by his RL son, especially as it wasn't a terribly favourable part.
he's the bloke out of Take That's more talented brother isn't he?

I used to think Gary Barlow was a character from Corrie. I can see him having a punch up in the Rover's with that Williams fellow.
Peter is not the long lost son. He's been in it for years now. Lawrence Barlow is, played by Bill Roache's real son Linus who's reappearing soon apparently.

Yes, he was, Carol. He was married to both Shelley from the pub and Lucy the florist. As you do.........

I do wonder if any "awaiting decision" messages ever do get reinstated. I have had some relativeley inoffensive posts temporarily hidden, only to become permanent after some time has passed.
Remember this is the ´óÏó´«Ã½ and they are never ever wrong.

Hmm. Still waiting for our new corrie spoilers thread to be sanctioned. And exactly the same news with the same naughty word has been posted on the old Spoilers thread!
Roy ; )
Could it be that you didn't include the word "Spoiler" in the title to make it clear it's a spoiler thread?
I understood they don't like spoilers in 'Th Bull'. When the original was set up it had to go in 'The Bull Upstairs'. The mods moved it to 'The Bull' later.

No, it wasn't that, Janet. I called it "Yet More Corrie Spoilers" or somesuch. And, yes, I thought TBU was the best place for spoilers threads. IIRC, it was moved back downstairs cos Upstairs was for Archers spoilers only.

Buff, whore, Foxtrot Oscar!!
Now I understand why someone was outraged!

But presumably the someone wasn't you?
Wouldn't it make a nice change if, just for once in soapland, someone could have a happy, uneventful wedding - they do happen, it is usually further down the line that it all kicks off.
But presumably the someone wasn't you?Â
Foxtrot Oscar

Is this the guy who used to be in The Bill and becomes a love interest to Michelle or something?
Just read on the other spoiler thread that Tracey and Chesney's girlfriend are to become pregnant in the near future! What with the birth of Molly's baby, Maria's baby, the abortion (already can't remember her name),and fizz's baby I thought we had had enough of anti natal clinics to last us a while!! Oh well, here we go again.
I've just been reading about Jason thumping an insurance assessor who then refuses to pay a claim to fix Eileen's roof. When did Eileen buy the house?
Do any of us really care? Be a miracle if she has given that her only regular income is the cab office and I am sure that doesn't pay megabucks.

Posted by TwitterYeNot (U13747493) on Monday, 17th January 2011
I don't know if she bought the house or not that time. But the roof wouldn't be her responsibility if she was only a tenant.
So we have yet another ridiculous storyline where she nicks 10 grand of Owen's money to pay for the repairs.
Bit of a surprise that Owen has £10 grand to steal but then he offers to fix her roof anyway and she is desperately trying to put the money back before he finds out - like I said, do we really care?

This is where it gets even more stupid. Carla gives Eileen a blank cheque to cover the costs of the money she still owes Owen for the factory re-build. And Eileen makes it out for the 10 grand she steals. And even more stupidly, she tells Julaaay what she did and they both try to get the money back before anyone notices.
I guess that will go wrong as well. Surprise surprise
But the roof wouldn't be her responsibility if she was only a tenant.Â
The SWs have form on this one. Do you remember when Craig's grandfather got Charlie to repair the roof on the house he and Craig rented and it all led to him not being able to pay the bill and Charlie buying the property to evict him? We were all yelling at the TV "You don't have to pay for the roof repairs you stupid old sod, that's your landlord's problem!"
I hear poor Maria is going to get raped by the new actor from the bill
Next week Stape has a breakdown and is admitted to a psychiatric hospital, and baby Hope is critically ill
Chris tries to frame Lloyd with burgled goods left in his cab, and I think I read somewhere that he starts knocking Maria about so prepare for the blessed Audrey to intervene

Sounds like poor Maria is going to be in the wars. First she gets knocked about by Chris, then she gets raped by the new factory manager from The Bill.
I think the SW's on Emmerdale and Corrie have formed a co-op.

Hmmm coincidence that two 'well loved' characters also died in a fire related tragedy, and so soon after the queen vic burnt down

Apart from the fact that in Emmerdale Viv and Terry, the characters who died, were genuinely long standing, well established central characters and largely liked.

According to DS Stape ends up in a psychiatric hospital next week - perhaps a canny therapist will get him talking, Fizz tells all to Chesney.
Is the end nigh for Jolly John the Grim Reaper?

All she knows - ie the Colin Fishwick impersonation to get a teaching job, lying to Ma Fishwick.
Baby Hope comes of the ventilator and then goes straight back on it because she has a hole in her heart - talked about a doomed family.
Fizz will be at maximum whine next week.
Also read that Fiz has money troubles and pretends to be Mrs Fishwick in order to inherit Joy's money. The Stapler's actions are obvously rubbing off on Fiz.
OMG. I've just read that Steve and Becky go on holiday and give the job of looking after The Rovers to.....Tracey.
As if.
So Tracy starts on Tina and then blackmails Steve & Becky into keeping her (Tracy) on as a barmaid.
WB
I was just wondering whether to give Corrie another go and watch tonight, WB1, but it doesn't sound as though it's got anything to attract or keep me coming for a while yet....
Saw this in the DM and wondered what the hell Tracey Barlow was doing there. I know she is Peter's stepsister but everyone else hates her and there are no blood ties. I expect Dreary had a neck clenching turn and got her invited.
After finding out about Nick's filanderings with Leanne, Peter attacks Nick in the Joinery building site and leaves him for dead - unfortunately he isn't.
There's an awful lot of attacking people in Corrie lately - John and Charlotte, Cler and Tracyluv, Gary and Owen, the burglar and Janice.
On a better note Carla feels sorry for Eileen over the cheque and offers her Janice's old job.

Not sure that working for Carla would be a consolation and not sure an employer would take on someone whom they know to be dishonest.
Just read that when Owen finds out about the £10k he wants revenge and wants the police involved but.......
Eileen, who has been doing his books, apparently has enough on him to cause him much bother with the Inland Revenue.

I saw on the cover of some soap mag. this morning that Tina has an affair which is what drives Graeme away.
Didn't say with whom.
I hear Michelle Collins may be joining us, have to say she would certainly liven up things.
