  This was the first thing I ever posted on when I joined this board about 7 years ago. And today, as I was watching an old Lovejoy I remarked, yet again, how nice it was to see the end titles go up nice and slowly, showing pictures of the actors involved in the cast list and I could read who everyone who worked on the programme was, easily.
  As I said, years ago, what with the scrunching up of the screen in order to show you what is on every channel known to man, the speed at which the credits go up would beat Usain Bolt to the line.
  I know, it's all been said before, and complained about, and what's been done....Nothing.....Zilch.....They just don't care, do they.

  Lil, constant moan about that here. What do they do with the extra couple of minutes they save, I wonder. And what /is/ the point of credits if viewers can't read them. I much more aware of it these days. DiL was a film editor and I would like to be able to see her name on the TV and films she has been involved with. Took gds to the cinema & he watched all the credits so he knew who had done the voices for Ice Age 4.

  I was watching an old episode of Heartbeat today and the end was really sad ... one of the main characters had been killed and others were reacting to it...it was actually very moving. After about two seconds of the music, as the credits rolled, the continuity bloke told us in bright and breezy tones about a forthcoming comedy programme...
