I thought I would give this one its own thread, for the last few days of the old order. It's also posted in Peet's and Sue's.
Here's where we are on planning:
This is the restaurant at the Robert Burns Centre on the Nith in Dumfries
The photo on this page shows the rather picturesque location and you might also want to click on the menus link to see if the food and prices are the sort of thing people would like.
The Centre is actually a film theatre named after the famed Scottish bard rather than a visitor attraction devoted to him. Anyone who wants to look at something museum-y can find a couple of places within easy strolling distance
Or we could walk across the Devorgilla bridge and into Dumfries town centre, or enjoy the riverside on the Whitesands.

It would be lovely to see you, S-F - I think you have posted about trips to Dumfries & Galloway before.
There are threads in both Peet's place and Sue's.

Just in case there are any weekend posters/lurkers who haven't seen this yet.

yes, we frequently use Mossburn Animal Centre at High Tae near Lockerbie (www.mossburn.org) as a stop off place en route to greater Scotland, because we know Juanita and she lets us park the camper van in her farm yard overnight

Mossburn - I was trying to remember the name of that place! Wasn't there a MLer who used to post pictures of animals there, and give updates on their progress?
Just posting to say two things:
1. Posible interest in meet
2. Where in Sue's are the ML meets? I looked and could not find them, so either I am stupid (quite possible) or they are not obvious. I did find them in Peet's though, so half success!

There is a meets thread in Peet's that's pinned to the top of The Bull - but I can't see anything similar in Sue's, so the threads are dropping down out of sight.

Much to my regret I'm not going to be able to get to this. I'll be on holiday several hundred miles further south and am hoping to arrange a meet with some Devon and Cornwall posters.

Please include me as interested. I've promised OH some scones from one of the bakers in the town.
