  in the strikeforce MMA bantamweight division (135 lb) makes history tonight: she fights liz carmouche in the first women's bout in a MMA authorised event and it will be the first women's bout to be the main event in any mixed martial art tournament. unfortunately it will not be a very competitive fight: carmouche will, like ALL of ronda rowdy rousey's previous oppenents, not survive the first round.
  tether's tip: rousey wins by arm-bar submission within 2 minutes, worth a fiver.

  big big up to liz carmouche who very nearly got a choke submission but rowdy rousey showed the samurai spirit, somehow freed her head and once again a rousey arm-bar got the tap...
  
  i believe i'm the only posterer on this board who takes a serious interest in women's sport ..funny that
