After ML is closed down the poor snork will no longer have a home, but will be cast out into the cyber wilderness where it will wither and die.
I know not everybody likes a snork, but I do and I shall be very sad at the demise of the species.
[sniff]
It lives on in Peet's he's got a brilliant 'smiley' it is also used in Sue's & on Faceache

We should probably preserve one in a glass case in the Natural History Museum. Next to the picture of the dodo.

I'm not going to be in any of those places, though I do have an account at Peet's and on FB.
Used in traditional Chinese medicine as a cure for depression, the hunting of the snork is now common.
he's got a brilliant 'smiley'Â
It should be. I designed it for Mr Keri when the boards went over to DNA in 2005, and donated it to h2g2 when they decided to go smiley-free.

Yes, but there will still be places where the snork is not extinct so you can arrange a viewing when it all gets too much. It's habitat may be restricted but it does have special protected status.
Please lets not end up with just stuffed ones in glass cases, let the snorks run free.

Well you'll be in two out of three...not bad!

I'm sure more than one has been sighted at Sue's, Goldi, and let's hope that a couple of 'em will become a breeding pair.
Laura's msg 5 on the earliest thread, Snork - an alternative, shows that we didn't make it up (in case anyone thought we did):
(It was started some months before my time btw.)
Well that's a shame, but it doesn't make the snork extinct or endangered.

Fine - I was just attempting a bit of affectionate levity.
I won't bother any more.

Hey goldi, chin up duck.
Hows about introducing a breeding pair onto the gardening board you mentioned the other day? They may happily nest in the undergrowth.

Oh, we were snorking on the Howerd2 ML long before the DNA ML was born in Oct 2005. Indeed there was a poster who used the screen name "occasional snork" and was there in the Howerd2 days.
Sorry...it's me, my sense of humour has gone walkies, ...

I'll tell you what is endangered: smileys here, as used by those of us who use the Script and use them, as seen by those of us who don't. They appear like this
smiley - snork

Snorks have occasionally been sighted in Dilbert.
Generally employed by Wally.
Best wishes

I want to know what's happened to the worats? I haven't seen them around for a long time. Have the exterminators been in?
I've spotted people snorking on Facebook and I've wanted to ask them if they post here, but I don't want my real life and ML life to cross over, if you know what I mean, so I've stayed silent. I've also spotted Peeps in FB profile pics and again I've wanted to ask, but I've stayed silent. I wouldn't want anyone in real life to know my ML persona and vice versa.
