I am looking forward to the new Alan Titchmarsh series of 'The Gardener's Year' or whatever it is called. It sounds like there will be plenty of real gardening to keep us amused. Fingers crossed! I think it starts at the end of the month.

I've seen the article in GW Mag and flicked through the book in the shops. I can't wait to watch and have high hopes! (Which makes me think of that rubber plant thread on the Clinic!)

Not to mention the new 6 part series that's going to be on just before it, starting 30th December.
Whoopee! An hour of gardening TV!

I couldnt agree more. I have really missed ATs enthusiastic but whimsical approach to gardening I am sure it will be a another great series.

I'm over the moon. I love AT and would watch him present anything. We'll maybe not songs of praise. Buit Dr T is certainly welcome on my screen any time...

I too can't wait for AT's return to our screens, although I have to say I now look forward to my weekly viewings with Monty Don. However he doesn't quite have that twinkle in the eye like AT, does he?

Just to clear up any confusion about my age and gender, I am a 37 (not really old is it) man, married with a big garden. No kids as yet, but working on it.

so you lot, less of the old....

I am getting decidedly worried by you 1stClassAlan

Firstly, my 'handle' as you put it, 'Nickname' to most is not derived from a drink. It happens to be the name of one of my pets, a 2' Goromo Koi carp. And my wife decided on the name. I am not a bit affeminate either, but like most gardeners I am sure , I have a gentle nature (a bit AT if you like).

May I suggest that you add some value to a discussion in future instead of being horrible !.

May I also suggest that you get the hang of the 'Add original message' feature.

    thanks

Well - you started it (the old bit) but 37 sounds like the height of youth to me, sonny. Keep trying for those kids - the trying is more fun than the reality (only joking - idolise my children- just hate football but OH & I agree to differ- he hates gardening!!!)PA

O.K. Malibu - used to make a good cocktail with that called Ultra-Violet smiley - smiley - no insult intended but have humour akin to a chainsaw. All of us in the gardener's teahut are of the same ilk and it doesn't do to show your sensibilites too much. We're a man down this winter 'cos our lastest little recruit couldn't stand the ribbing so suppose we ought to be modded!
